2015_Solomon Islands

An incredible 11 day trip aboard the Bilikiki. Great boat with efficient, friendly staff. Lots of contacts with the local villagers through village visits and also visits by the villagers to the boat in their dugout canoes. Daniella, the boat manager buys vegetables and fruit from them on a daily basis and the chef prepares a wonderful array of dishes with the local products and fish. The diving is varied: walls, wrecks, caves, tunnels, crevices, fields of healthy hard corals, some muck style diving. We even were treated to a manta feeding spot in a current swept pass and a snorkel with reef sharks right at the back of the boat. This was a return trip for us and we were very pleased to see the corals as healthy as we witnessed them 8 years ago.
